The National Patent Register is kept by the National Institute of Industrial Property.

Included therein, for each patent application or patent:

1° The identification of the applicant, and the references of the patent application or patent, as well as subsequent acts affecting its existence or scope;

2° Acts modifying the ownership of the patent application or patent or the enjoyment of the rights attached thereto; in the event of a claim of ownership : the corresponding summons as well as the suspension and resumption of the grant procedure;

3° Changes of name, legal form or address as well as rectifications of material errors affecting registrations.

No entry shall be made in the register until the patent application has been made public under the conditions provided for in

article R. 612-39
