The consignment note forms a contract between the sender, the freight forwarder and the consignee or between the sender, the consignee, the freight forwarder and the freight forwarder. The freight forwarder thus has a direct action for payment of his services against the consignor and the consignee, who are guarantors of payment of the transport price. Any clause to the contrary is deemed unwritten.
